PROJECT: Insulate and drywall outside walls in Ant Hall

The Mission: The hall has several walls that leak our heating and cooling to the outside world quite a bit. Putting in simple drywall with insulation would change the HVAC bills drastically. The current cinderblock construction hardly provides any insulation.

Currently the 12ft walls that need insulation are the following: ~15 feet Hall Front room, ~15 feet Hall Office, 12 feet other office wall, ~15 feet Green Room wall ~12 feet other green room wall.

  • Joint tape and screws ~ $35

  • Studs (metal) ~ $775

  • Track (top and Bottom) ~ $60

  • Insulation ~ $500

  • Window sealing ~$100

  • Truck Rental ~$100

  • Misc (vapor barrier, paint, wood for window) ~$100
